Introduction about PMP Training
PMP abstract of Project Management Professional offered by a non-profit organization named Project Management Institute (PMI). It is a perfect training course for those professionals who wants to gain expertise in project management. It is designed for professionals to handle ongoing research projects and meet the real-world challenges of an organization.
If you are planning to become a certified PMP Professional but having lots of questions running in your mind, so here is a complete path to guide you.
- Start with PMP credential handbook: Beginners should first read the credential handbook published by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and available on the official website of PMI. This handbook will tell you every single thing about the process of attempting the PMP Exam and how to become a PMI certified project manager. It will take approx. 20 minutes to read it, which will answer most of the questions related to the exam procedure.
- Check Eligibility Criteria For Project Management: The next step is checking the eligibility criteria that are necessary to become a PMI certified project manager. For that individuals need to meet the following parameters: You should do at least a high school diploma, an associate degree, or the global equivalent of these. Additionally, you must hold a minimum of 60 months or 7500 hours of unique, non-overlapping project management experience. You must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in your country or must hold a minimum of 36 months or 4,500 hours of non-overlapping and unique project management experience. You must have 35 contact hours of project management training in both cases.
- Own a PMI membership of your chapter: Getting PMI membership can be beneficial for professionals because as a PMI member you will get a free PFD version of the complete “Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” which is also known as PMBOK Guide. Moreover, you will get a huge discount on the PMP examination and stay updated with information related to PMP workshops once you become a PMI member.
- Signup for the PMP exam: So the next step is signing up and scheduling an examination date because you can prepare in a better way if you had a deadline to achieve your goal.
